Windows Vista - Windows Mail Setup
Follow the tutorial below to set up your email program.
- Server Settings -
Username: Full Email Address
Password: Case Sensitive
Incoming Server: mail.columbiainet.com
Outbound Server: mail.columbiainet.com
Outbound server requires authentication


1. Click Start then Email.
2. Click Tools then Accounts.
3. Click Add.
4. Select Email Account then click Next.
5. Enter your name the way you wish other people to see it when you send them email messages, then click Next.
6. Enter your email address, then click Next.
7. Enter your settings just as they appear here.
  • My Incoming Server is a POP3
  • Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: mail.columbiainet.com
  • Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: mail.columbiainet.com
  • Put a check mark next to: My Outgoing Server Requires Authentication
Click Next.
8. Your Email user name is your FULL email address. Enter your password then click Remember Password and click Next.
9. Click Finish you are ready to send and receive email.
