Outlook 2002/2003 Email Setup

Follow the tutorial below to set up your email program.
|
|
- Server Settings -
|
|
Username:
|
Full Email Address
|
|
Password:
|
Case Sensitive
|
|
Incoming Server:
|
mail.columbiainet.com
|
|
Outbound Server:
|
mail.columbiainet.com
|
|
Outbound server requires authentication
|
|
|

1. To setup your email account click on Tools, then Email Accounts.
|
|
|
2. Choose Add a New Email Account then click Next.
|
|
|
3. Choose POP3. Click Next.
|
|
4. Fill in information as follows: User Information- Your Name: Your First/Last Name, this is what people will see when you send them email.
- Email address: you@columbiainet.com
Server Information- Incoming Mail Server (POP3): mail.columbiainet.com
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.columbiainet.com
Logon Information- User Name: you@columbiainet.com
- Password: your password
Once you complete this click More Settings.

5. Click the Outgoing Server tab. Check My Outgoing Server (SMTP) Requires Authentication. Use same settings as my Incoming Server should be selected by default. Click OK.

6. Click Next.
|
|
|
7. Click Finish, you are done.
