Powercycle Steps Many times a lost internet connection can be restored by rebooting / powercycling the equipment in the correct order. Please perform the following steps for powercycling your networking equipment. The most important thing to keep in mind is the order of powercycling needs to run from the wall to the computer. First unplug the device that is connected to the internet jack in the wall. Then unplug any devices connected to that & so on until you have reached the comuter. When plugging back in, follow the same order.

Turn off your computer. Unplug the power from your router / modem. Unplug the power from your wireless device(if you have one). Plug the power cable back into your router / modem & wait 1 minute for the connection to restore. Plug the power cable back into your wireless device & Wait 1 minute for the connection to restore. Turn on your computer.

When the computer boots back up open up your browser and see if you can browse the internet!
