Fiber Network in Dayton

We did it — Better internet is coming to Dayton!

After years of planning, today we made a presentation to the CERB board for funds to construct a fiber network in Dayton and outlying areas. We are thrilled to report that the Port was awarded the $2 million dollars in grant funds we requested!!

A big thank you to Bob Greene with Columbia i-Connect for going to Olympia with Jennie Dickinson and helping secure these funds, and our two other committed private partners, Emerge by Inland Cellular and Pocketinet, for the investments all 3 will make in this public/private partnership to bring reliable, affordable, high-speed internet to our businesses and residents.

This is going to take some time to engineer and build, but it's going to happen! Hang in there everyone. Speeds of up to 1 Gigabyte are coming, and every single one of the 1,287 premises in the project area will have the option to use it.
